Guyana’s Ambassador, Safraaz Shadood, spoke about the government’s initiatives to promote social inclusion, economic prosperity, and environmental sustainability. Investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure were emphasized as central to the country’s development strategy.

Guyana’s unique cultural tapestry was on full display at the event.

The Guyanese community in Qatar presented an exhibition showcasing the nation’s diverse heritage.

Guests were treated to traditional Guyanese cuisine, including the national dish, pepperpot.

The celebration was graced by prominent Qatari officials, including the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Ibrahim Bin Ali Al Mohannadi.

Members of the business community, the diplomatic corps, and the Guyanese diaspora also joined the festivities.

A renowned calligrapher, Abdul Kareem, delivered a live performance, adding a touch of artistic flair to the event.

He even presented his artwork as gifts to Qatari and Guyanese government officials, further strengthening the bilateral ties between the two nations.
