Guyana Amazon Warriors Engage with Young Fans at ExxonMobil Event

The Guyana Amazon Warriors recently connected with their younger fan base at a special event organized by ExxonMobil, aimed at fostering youth development in sports.

The players interacted with young athletes, answered their questions, and participated in a friendly cricket match with the Future Warriors, a group of promising young cricketers.

ExxonMobil Guyana’s President, Alistair Routledge, reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting youth development and building a strong foundation for the country’s future athletes through educational initiatives and sports programs.

Minister of Sport, Charles Ramson Jr., addressed the young cricketers, emphasizing the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure they have access to opportunities that can help them develop into top-tier athletes.

He also highlighted the importance of partnerships, such as ExxonMobil’s involvement, in advancing sports in Guyana.

The event featured the champions of the ExxonMobil Future Warriors tape ball tournament, with Huis T Dieren Primary, Stella Maris, and Cropper Primary schools in attendance.

The young champions joined the Amazon Warriors for a friendly cricket match on the tarmac of the Marriott Hotel, further cementing their enthusiasm for the sport while creating unforgettable experiences with their role models.

This event reflects the continued collaboration between government, corporate partners, and sports organizations to develop youth talent and enhance the sporting landscape in Guyana.
