GTA to Unveil 15 New Tourism Products

The Guyana Tourism Authority (GTA) is gearing up to launch 15 new tourism products before the end of the year, according to GTA Director, Kamrul Baksh.

The upcoming products will cover a wide range of offerings, including nature-based, adventure, culinary, and culture and heritage experiences.

To incentivize the development of these new products, the GTA has introduced a tourism grant exclusively available to licensed operators.

The grant allows licensed businesses to access funding of up to one million dollars to create unique and exciting tourism experiences.

Emphasizing the importance of safety in the industry, Baksh highlighted that the grant is limited to licensed operators.

The deadline for grant applications is August 10, and the GTA aims to launch some of the new products in August, coinciding with the cricket carnival season, which begins in mid-September.

Over the past three years, the GTA has already successfully launched more than 25 tourism products, contributing to the growth and diversification of Guyana’s tourism industry.

Among these offerings are indigenous and nature-based activities across various administrative regions.

With the upcoming launches, the GTA is eager to further enhance Guyana’s tourism sector, providing both locals and international visitors with exciting and authentic experiences that showcase the country’s rich cultural and natural heritage.
