GPF Women FC Focused on Staying Competitive in GFF Women Developmental League

The action in the Guyana Football Federation’s Women Developmental League continues, with Police FC gearing up to face Potaro Strikers over the weekend at the GFF’s National Training Centre in Providence.

In a recent interview, head coach of the Guyana Police Football Club, Vurlon Mills, emphasized the importance of focusing on the task at hand and not underestimating upcoming opponents.

Mills highlighted the team’s strategy of taking it one game at a time and emphasized their preparation to play competitive football.

Mills pointed to the team’s midfield as a key strength, attributing it to their success.

He also mentioned that the club is continuously making subtle changes to improve their chances in the league.

Currently, Guyana Police Force FC holds the second position in the league standings with six wins and one loss.

Fruta Conquerors FC follows closely in third place with twelve points, earned from a balanced record of four wins and four losses.

Potato Strikers FC occupies the fourth position, accumulating four points from one win, one draw, and four losses.

Parkuri Jaguars FC rounds off the standings in fifth place, with one win, one draw, and five losses.

At the top of the table, Guyana Defence Force FC maintains an unblemished record, leading their joint service rivals by three points after seven games.

As the league progresses, GPF Women FC remains focused on staying competitive and keeping their rivals within striking distance.
