As the Government of Guyana continues to roll out its digitalized services, it also remains committed to protecting data and guarding against breaches to confidential information.
This assurance was recently provided by Minister of Public Service and Government Efficiency, Zulfikar Ally, when he spoke at a public meeting in Region Six over the weekend.

Ally further elaborated on the work done by this agency, which ensures that the government’s IT systems are protected.
He explained that external experts are looking at the online data systems, ensuring it is robust and safe.
The government’s digitalization efforts are expected to encompass all government agencies. This includes the National Insurance Scheme (NIS), which has been tasked to provide digitalized services for citizens within eight months.
