PPP General Secretary and Vice President, Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo, has outlined a new, innovative approach to educating children living with disabilities in Guyana.

The Vice Presidents says that the government’s unique model aims to provide learning opportunities while delivering much-needed support to families.

Importantly, parents will volunteer on a rotating basis to help run these centers—ensuring their children can access care and education in their own communities, while allowing some parents to return to work.

He further explained that the state will identify and equip suitable buildings and provide financial support to help operate the facilities.
