Questions pertaining to inflation were recently addressed by Finance Minister Dr. Ashni Singh, as he assured Guyanese that the government has been and will continue to do everything possible to keep cost of living contained.

In an interview on the Starting Point Podcast, the Minister noted that Guyana, like the rest of the world, is affected by global price increases, but also reflected on the measures that were rolled out by the government.

This, Dr. Singh noted, allowed the government to protect ordinary Guyanese from the worst increases in imported goods used every day.

Dr. Singh also noted that more Guyanese are working than ever before. This is no accident, but rather the result of careful planning.
