President Ali has made it clear that Guyanese have a right to expect consistent and effective leadership and services at the Regional level.

He made these remarks during Thursday’s swearing in ceremony for the Regional Chairpersons and Vice Chairpersons at the Arthur Chung Conference Center.

In his address, President Ali expressed expectations that moving forward, Regional Democratic Councils will be more proactive and inspire confidence in the communities they serve.

President Ali also referenced the PPP/C Government’s intention to make RDCs more accessible to the people in their respective communities.

It was explained that the Region 10 Chairperson is yet to be elected, owing to a tie between the candidates from the APNU and WIN parties in October 2025.
