Government Reaffirms Commitment to Essequibo Development at 2024 Expo

Senior Minister with responsibility for Finance and Public Service, Dr. Ashni Singh, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the continued development of Region 2 (Essequibo).

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the annual Essequibo Exposition, Dr. Singh emphasized the administration’s dedication to fostering economic growth and supporting local businesses in the region.

Delivering remarks on behalf of President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Dr. Singh highlighted the government’s intention to maintain an investment-friendly environment that will stimulate regional growth and prosperity.

He assured the President of the Essequibo Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Jaigobin, of the administration’s aggressive approach to investing in the region’s development.

Additionally, Dr. Singh praised the efforts of the local business community, commending entrepreneurs for their investments and recognizing the potential that lies ahead for Essequibo.

He acknowledged the important role they play in driving the economic transformation of the region.

The Essequibo Exposition, which is being held at the Anna Regina Multilateral Secondary School Ground, has attracted a large turnout, with numerous public and private entities participating.

The event, which began yesterday, is set to conclude tonight.
