The government has proactively engaged businesses operating near the Cheddi Jagan International Airport (CJIA) before undertaking the painting of the airport’s façade.
This initiative aims to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the area and create an attractive retail space, transforming it from its previous state.
Minister of Public Works, Juan Edghill, emphasized that this development is part of a broader effort to support business growth and beautify the airport.
The façade project is just one aspect of ongoing beautification efforts, with more plans in the pipeline.
Minister Edghill underscored the significance of the airport as the first point of contact for visitors, emphasizing the importance of it reflecting Guyana’s modernization and progress, especially as the nation develops its tourism brand.
