Government Donates Piano Keyboard to Visually Impaired Albouystown Man

Urios Collins, a visually impaired resident of the Albouystown community, received a pro-level sound quality Yamaha piano keyboard in support of his musical career.

The donation was overseen by Public Affairs Minister Kwame McCoy and fulfilled a promise made by Vice President Dr. Bharrat Jagdeo.

During the handover, Urios Collins, also known as ‘Leroy,’ expressed his joy and gratitude, stating that he did not expect such a generous gift.

He emphasized how the piano keyboard, a gift from Vice President Jagdeo, would significantly help him be more independent in pursuing his musical endeavors.

This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting citizens, particularly those who demonstrate determination and resilience in pursuing success despite challenging circumstances.
