Government Allocates $4.6 Billion for Sports Development

In a significant boost for the sports sector, the Guyanese government has allocated $4.6 billion for sports development in the 2024 budget, marking a substantial increase of $300 million compared to the previous year.

Emphasis is placed on upgrading existing sporting facilities, ensuring that they meet international standards.

Furthermore, the completion of synthetic tracks in Regions 10 and 6 is included in the budget, highlighting the commitment to providing top-notch sports infrastructure in key regions.
