In a special event organized by the Guyana Football Federation, students from esteemed institutions like Queen’s College, President’s College, New Campbellville, Freeburg, and Carmel Secondary Schools had an exceptional opportunity to meet some of the key players from Guyana’s senior men’s football team – the Golden Jaguars. The interaction took place at the Ministry of Education ground.
During this memorable occasion, these budding athletes had the privilege of learning about the rigorous training regimens and preparations that go into getting ready for high-stakes tournaments. The footballers present, including Omari Glasgow, Curtez Kellman, Jeremy Garrett, and Stephen Duke McKenna, shared their experiences and insights with the eager students.
Sam Cox, a member of the national team, expressed profound gratitude for the chance to engage with these young, aspiring athletes. He also extended his commendation to all those who played a role in making this event possible. He held hope that their collective efforts could leave a lasting, positive impact on the lives of these students and many others.
In a gesture of goodwill, the national team also presented sports gear to the schools, further cementing the connection between the Golden Jaguars and the next generation of athletes.
