…CEO Dr. Peter Ramsaroop highlights discussions on bamboo industry setup
Dr. Peter Ramsaroop, the Chief Executive Officer of the Guyana Office for Investment (GO-Invest), revealed that his office is actively engaging with investors attending the Agri Forum, exploring various agricultural projects.
One notable area of interest involves the establishment of a bamboo industry in Guyana.
During an interview, Dr. Ramsaroop stated, “I meet with a large investor looking to set up a bamboo industry in Guyana. We always knew we could do bamboo but we were never able to put it together on a large scale. They want to set up not only the growing of the bamboo but also a production facility.”
He emphasized that such investments signify the continued positive outcomes of the government’s initiatives to foster growth in the agricultural sector.
Dr. Ramsaroop expressed excitement about the caliber of investors participating in forums like the Agri Forum.
He highlighted that GO-Invest remains committed to working with investors from around the world who are keen on contributing to Guyana’s development.
The Agri Forum, operating under the theme “Accelerating Vision 25 by 2025,” will continue its activities, providing a platform for discussions and collaborations aimed at advancing the agricultural landscape in Guyana.
