The much-anticipated Glo-See Networking Brunch returns for its fourth year, drawing nearly 200 industry professionals, business owners, leaders, and potential investors.
This event, founded by single-parent entrepreneur Sophia Dolphin, aims to empower women in business.
The Glo-See Networking Brunch has seen an overwhelming response this year.
Nearly 200 participants, including industry professionals, business owners, leaders, and potential investors, are expected to attend.
Reflecting on her own journey, Dolphin, who started as a sole trader, founded the brunch to support and empower women in business.
She expressed immense gratitude for the enthusiasm and support surrounding this year’s event.
“We have investors eager to meet some of our SMEs,” Dolphin shared. “This year is unique as many women who are just starting their businesses will have the opportunity to scale.”
The event, which began in 2019, has evolved into a vibrant community with numerous success stories.
From women who started with small shops now running supermarkets to housewives turning their gardens into supply chains, the brunch is a testament to perseverance and community support.
“There are so many success stories,” Dolphin said. “We are thrilled to see Guyanese women adding value to themselves and the marketplace.”
The goal of the event is for attendees to leave with valuable knowledge, a sense of support, and a strengthened network.
This year’s brunch will be held at the Fusion Restaurant at the Pegasus Hotel, with the theme “Network, Celebrate, and Brunch.”
