The Guyana Football Federation (GFF) remains undaunted by the financial challenges posed in adequately funding the senior men’s football team, the Golden Jaguars.
Despite financial constraints, the Golden Jaguars made significant strides last year, advancing into League ‘A’ of the Concacaf Nations League, showcasing commendable performances in their campaign.
In a recent interview, Wayne Forde, the President of the GFF, expressed the federation’s awareness of the collective efforts dedicated to ensuring the success of the Golden Jaguars.
Forde emphasized the pride the administration takes in meeting the requirements necessary for the team’s achievements.
Now positioned in League ‘A,’ the Golden Jaguars will engage in international fixtures crucial for their preparation for marquee matches.
Wayne Forde affirmed that the federation is committed to exploring avenues that will benefit the team’s progress.
Forde outlined plans to strategically navigate international engagements, indicating a focus on optimizing opportunities for the team.
As part of their preparation, the GFF President highlighted considerations for fixtures, training camps, and post-match assessments to enhance the team’s performance.
Looking ahead, Guyana’s senior men’s team is scheduled to return to action in March for World Cup qualifier action.
In September, they embark on their Nations League campaign, setting the stage for another exciting chapter in the Golden Jaguars’ football journey.
Despite financial constraints, the GFF remains dedicated to the development and success of the Golden Jaguars, showcasing resilience in the face of funding challenges.
