He emphasized that the federation cannot make key decisions without a quorum, as outlined by the GCF constitution.
This lack of governance stability could reduce support from bodies like the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA), which could affect future opportunities.
The upcoming meeting aims to address the lack of quorum and find a solution, which could include reconstituting the Executive or forming a temporary caretaking body to manage the federation’s affairs.
St. Claire expressed optimism that the meeting would lead to a stable pathway for the future of cycling in Guyana.
The Guyana Olympic Association will have representatives present, marking an important step in resolving the federation’s issues.
