The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) is teaming up with the Ministry of Tourism, Industry, and Commerce and GTT to host the National Small Business Week 2023. The event will take place in Georgetown, Linden, Berbice, and Essequibo.
Scheduled to commence on July 22 in Georgetown and Linden, the National Small Business Week will continue on July 23 in Berbice and Essequibo.
The aim of the initiative is to engage small business owners and provide them with valuable information to enhance their businesses.
Evie Gurcharran, Chair of the Entrepreneurship and Small Business Committee at GCCI, highlighted the focus on conducting small and impactful workshops tailored to the needs of the various chambers and the goal being to encourage small business owners to stay connected with the opportunities and developments in Guyana’s business landscape.
The National Small Business Week will conclude on July 29 at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre with a seminar and exposition.
The seminar will address essential paperwork requirements to make small businesses more attractive to bigger opportunities.
The seminar will require an entry fee of $2,000, while the exposition will be open to the public.
Under the theme “Strategic Collaboration for Success,” the 2023 National Small Business Week is expected to draw around 60 small businesses.
The event seeks to promote partnerships that will drive growth and success for these enterprises.
