The Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) has confirmed an exciting weekend of cricket matches set to take place on February 15 and 16 at various grounds around the city, with several key competitions lined up.
The centerpiece of the weekend will be the GCA 1st Division 50-over semifinals, featuring defending champions Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) against Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) at MSC starting at 9:30 AM.
The other semifinal will see Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) face the Muslim Youth Organization (MYO) at GCC.
Additionally, the Dave Narine 1st Division 50-over competition will showcase Everest Cricket Club hosting Transport Sports Club at Everest, while the NBS 2nd Division 40-over tournament will feature Police Sports Club against Transport Sports Club at DCC.
Sunday will see continued action in the Dave Narine competition, with GCC taking on the Guyana Defence Force at GCC and DCC playing Transport Sports Club at DCC.
Meanwhile, in the NBS 2nd Division, Malteenoes Sports Club will battle Sophia at MSC, Transport Sports Club will host DCC, and the Muslim Youth Organization will face Bel Air Rubis at Queen’s College, with their match also scheduled for 10:30 AM.
Cricket fans are in for a weekend of exciting matchups across multiple divisions.
