The Christmas spirit came alive in New Amsterdam this past weekend as the PPP/C hosted a festive celebration at the State Freedom House, spreading joy and togetherness throughout the community.

The event, attended by Minister of Agriculture Zulfikar Mustapha, featured a vibrant cultural program that included carol singing, poetry recitals, and the distribution of gifts, all of which brought smiles to the faces of both children and adults alike.

Minister Mustapha took the opportunity to address the gathering, highlighting that Christmas 2024 is unfolding at a time of significant transformation in Guyana.

He noted that the country’s evolving landscape is a direct result of the government’s commitment to development through various programs and policies.

“For the young people, this is the most exciting time in our country. We are seeing tremendous opportunities available to you, and you are fortunate to have these opportunities coming your way,” said Minister Mustapha.

He encouraged the youth to take advantage of the free education being offered by the government.

The Minister further emphasized the importance of unity, stating that the PPP/C is committed to bringing citizens together.

“As we celebrate Christmas, a season of goodwill, let us ensure we extend our hands to the less fortunate. The PPP/C is here to unite people, ensuring that Guyana is truly one, as His Excellency the President envisions,” he added.

The festive celebration at Freedom House brought the community closer, fostering a warm and joyful atmosphere.

With a mix of traditional carols, heartfelt poetry, and thoughtful gift-giving, the event truly showcased the spirit of the season and the PPP/C’s commitment to community togetherness.

This event was a testament to the ongoing efforts to foster unity and development within Guyana, particularly during the holiday season.
