Today, First Lady Arya Ali inaugurated two new recreational parks in Brothers Village and Lonsdale, Berbice, representing a significant investment of over 65 million dollars.
In her address, First Lady Arya Ali emphasized the importance of these parks as essential public services that can greatly enhance the status of a community and improve the lives of its residents.
Beyond offering recreational activities, the parks are expected to generate employment opportunities for individuals to manage these facilities.
Arya Ali highlighted that the public parks will play a crucial role in promoting physical activities and fostering an appreciation for the natural environment, thereby contributing to an improved quality of life for the community members.
David Armogan, the Regional Chairman, expressed his appreciation for the new facilities, emphasizing the significance of recreation in the development of countries like Guyana.
The two parks were constructed at a total cost of approximately 65 million dollars, representing a substantial investment in the enhancement of community infrastructure and the promotion of healthy lifestyles.
