FineArt.gy’s “Beyond the Brush” Exhibition Showcases Local Talent

Over two vibrant days, art enthusiasts, the public, and artists alike were treated to a spectacular exhibition hosted by FineArt.gy, a small business dedicated to supporting and promoting local artists.

The event took place at the Marriott Hotel, providing a platform for 40 local artists to showcase their diverse works, which included prints, mixed media, ceramics, and sculptural art.

Sade Barrow-Browne, the visionary founder of FineArt.gy, shared in an exclusive interview with NCN NEWS the central objective behind the event.

She expressed that “Beyond the Brush” aimed not only to spotlight existing pieces of art in the country that might otherwise go unnoticed, but also to offer Guyanese a fresh and enriching form of entertainment.

Barrow-Browne emphasized the profound impact this event had on the artists.

Looking ahead, FineArt.gy has plans to continue hosting more art-focused events in the coming year.

The success of “Beyond the Brush” was made possible through the support of key sponsors, including the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Digicel, and CCH Pounder.

This exhibition not only celebrated the richness of Guyanese artistry but also provided a dynamic platform for artists to connect with appreciative audiences, further enriching the cultural tapestry of the nation.
