The Guyana Defence Force Paratroopers are set to make a spectacular landing at the Christianburg Wismar Secondary School on Saturday afternoon, beginning their aerial display at 16:00 hrs.

Following this, members of the Joint Services will parade into the McKenzie Stadium, where the national flag will be hoisted amidst patriotic fervor.

A vibrant 10-minute fireworks display will illuminate the night sky, with the colors released from the Mackenzie Bandstand, offering a visual treat visible throughout the township.

To facilitate smooth traffic flow and ensure minimal disruption, Traffic Inspector Sherwin Henry has confirmed the deployment of police at strategic locations.

Parking arrangements have been made at the Retrieve ground and Republic Avenue to accommodate attendees.

On Saturday night, the Mackenzie Stadium will be the epicenter of celebrations, featuring performances, cultural displays, and a keynote address by His Excellency, President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali.

Minister of Public Works, Bishop Juan Edghill, has urged Lindeners to join in celebrating Guyana’s resilience and independence.
