A wave of excitement swept through Movietown today as beauty lovers lined up outside Glamour Beauty, eager to get their hands on Fenty products.
For many, this move was long overdue. No more overseas trips or online orders, as Guyanese consumers can now access products created by Rihanna right at home.

Sharing their reactions with NCN News, patrons spoke of the excitement and pride they feel now that the product is closer to home.
Matthew Jeffrey said, “We’re all supposed to be feeling good because it puts us on a wide spectrum whereby friends can be recognizing that, oh, that this is the Caribbean and we need these products.”
Inside, the atmosphere was just vibrant. Shelves stocked with fan-favorite items quickly drew crowds, as shoppers tested shades and explored products designed for a wide range of skin tones.
“I feel very pleased that Fenty is finally in Guyana. It’s been very long going to another country to buy it, but I feel very comfortable. I love Fenty. I use it a lot. Clearly. And I feel like it’s a very good thing that it brought to Guyana because there will be a lot of people buying it,” Lydessa Lester told NCN.
The launch marks an important step for Guyana’s beauty industry, reflecting growing demands, greater inclusivity, and expanding access to global brands.
For many, it goes beyond makeup and skincare. It’s about feeling seen and being a part of a wider global beauty movement.
