A family of six from Meten-Meer-Zorg, West Coast Demerara, has been gifted a new home, just in time for the Christmas season, thanks to the Office of the First Lady.

Lisa Reddy, a single mother of four boys, along with her 63-year-old mother, are now the proud owners of a fully furnished home.

The residence includes three bedrooms, a spacious living room, a furnished kitchen, and a washroom, all valued at 15.3 million Guyana dollars.

This is the third home handed over by the Office of the First Lady, marking a continued effort to improve the living conditions of families in need.

The home will provide the family with a safe and comfortable space to live, helping to improve their quality of life.

In addition to the home, the First Lady’s Office has also committed to providing a grant of $500,000 to assist the family in setting up a poultry farm at the back of the house.

This initiative is aimed at supplementing the family’s income and supporting the educational goals of Lisa’s four sons.

The handover of the home is part of a larger initiative to address housing needs for families across the country, with an emphasis on fairness, transparency, and improving the lives of Guyanese citizens.
