Bartica is buzzing with activity as families and visitors arrive for the Easter weekend Regatta.

Preparations are underway for tonight’s beauty pageant, the country’s oldest and most consistent. Eight local contestants will take the stage at 8 p.m. at the community center ground.

Immediately after, the Brooklyn All White Street Jam will kick off at Forest Avenue’s Platinum Square.

The Easter weekend celebrations are set to proceed with excitement, energy, and safety for all attendees.

Organizers assure that weather will not hinder events, with tents and covered areas ready for all patrons.

Coordinator, Holbert Knights, said, “We got preparations so nobody is going to be partying in the rain.”

On Sunday, 18 thrilling powerboat races, including Formula One, jet skis, and high-horsepower boats are set to take place.

The grass track event has been postponed to Monday due to soggy conditions.

Monday night will host the grand finale with international acts Givenchy from Jamaica and Lil Rick from Barbados among other local artiste including Lola Doll.
