Excitement as ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Tickets Go on Sale in Guyana

Cricket enthusiasts in Guyana rushed to the box office at the World Famous GCC ground as ticket sales for the 2024 edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup opened on Thursday.

Fans eagerly secured tickets for the five games scheduled to be played in Guyana, igniting excitement for the upcoming cricket extravaganza.

Long-time West Indies supporters and fans of other teams queued up at the box office, eager to witness the best cricketing talent from around the world compete at the National Stadium, Providence.

Among them were Linsley McAllister, attending his first World Cup match, and Paul Matil, a seasoned attendee at just 10 years old.

John Ramsingh, ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Broadcast and Digital Officer for Guyana, provided insights into ticket purchasing options, ensuring accessibility for cricket enthusiasts across the country.

Tickets can be purchased at the box office located at the Guyana Cricket Board office on Regent Road, Bourda, from Monday to Friday between 10:30 am and 6:00 pm, with extended hours on Saturdays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Guyana National Stadium is set to host five matches, with the West Indies facing off against Papua New Guinea on June 2.

As anticipation builds for the prestigious tournament, cricket fans eagerly secure their seats to be part of the thrilling action on the field.
