Acknowledging the heart-wrenching tragedies witnessed both globally and within the country, which have resulted in loss of lives, destruction, and immeasurable grief, the Head of State emphasized the need for unity and compassion.

In his Eid-ul-Adha message to the Nation, President Ali extended warm greetings to all Guyanese, particularly to the Muslim community. He highlighted the significance of Eid and its central narrative of Abraham, whose unwavering faith, loyalty, and obedience to God serve as an inspiration.

Reflecting on recent weeks, President Ali expressed deep concern over the multitude of distressing events, such as wildfires, floods, explosions, terrorism, vessel accidents, submersible craft mishaps, and infernos, which have inflicted pain, suffering, and irreparable damage upon humanity.

Amidst these trying times, President Ali stressed the importance of maintaining unwavering faith, akin to that of Abraham. He urged the Nation to stand firm and resilient, drawing strength from their beliefs.

Additionally, President Ali called upon everyone to collectively contribute to the development of a more compassionate and humane society. By supporting and caring for one another, Guyanese can navigate through challenges, uplift those in need, and foster a stronger sense of community, he noted.

The President’s message resonated with a call for unity, empathy, and resilience, and embracing these qualities, he believes, will help the nation overcome adversity and build a brighter future for all Guyanese.
