Edward B Beharry and Company Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of youth basketball in Guyana by signing on as the premium sponsor of the Youth Basketball Guyana (YBG) program for another year.
Travis Seymour brings the details from the company’s Charlotte Street location, where they celebrated their 14th consecutive year of support with a donation of two million dollars.
As Youth Basketball Guyana gears up for its upcoming challenge series and shooting competition this weekend, Edward B Beharry has demonstrated its unwavering dedication to the program.
Chris Bowman, Director of YBG, emphasized the critical importance of the sponsorship to their calendar of activities, highlighting that YBG’s initiatives extend beyond basketball to encompass the holistic development of the students involved.
Bowman stressed that the program plays a pivotal role in sustaining the sport on a national level, underscoring the significance of Edward B Beharry’s continued support in this endeavor.
The sponsorship enables YBG to provide essential resources and opportunities for young athletes, empowering them both on and off the court.

Following the challenge series this weekend, YBG has a packed schedule of events planned for the year ahead.
This includes the Regional Conference in March and June, the inaugural Primary School Basketball Program in May and June, and other tournaments such as the Tertiary Basketball League and the National Schools Basketball Festival in June and July.
The year will culminate in the Titan Bowl schools knock-out and tertiary knock-out tournaments in December.
