Significant strides are being made in educational development for Indigenous communities in Region Ten.
The Ministry of Education has initiated two major projects aimed at improving school infrastructure in the region.
At 58 Miles, Barron’s Exclusive has been awarded a contract worth $37,651,350 to construct a new primary school.
This project is set to replace the existing community-built school, which currently accommodates 53 students.
The new facility is expected to support a larger number of pupils and enhance educational opportunities in this rapidly growing community.
Similarly, in Rockstone, Ele’s Trading & Hardware has secured a $52,180,950 contract for the construction of a Grade C nursery school.
This new school will be designed to accommodate more than 100 children, providing a much-needed boost to the local education system.
The recent announcements highlight the government’s commitment to addressing educational needs in these communities.
The new schools are part of a broader initiative to improve education infrastructure, with $74.4 billion allocated to the Ministry of Education this year for building and equipping schools, among other educational programs.
