The tournament, taking place at Olympic House in Liliendaal, features players competing across six categories, aiming not only for cash prizes but also for prestigious trophies.

Participants include some of Guyana’s top table tennis talents, highlighting the competitive spirit and growth of the sport in the region.

Malachi More, representing the Malteenoes Sports Club, expressed his readiness for the competition, emphasizing months of rigorous training under dedicated coaching to compete in both the under 15 and under 19 categories.

Thuraia Thomas, from the Titans Table Tennis Club, sees the tournament as a valuable opportunity for players to hone their skills and prepare for upcoming competitions later in the year.

She anticipates the event will provide a significant incentive for her development as a player.
