The America Cricket Society (ACS) 2024 tour of Guyana concluded in defeat at the Police Sports Club Ground in Eve-Leary over the weekend.

Dumuka Junior’s remarkable hat-trick and Kevon Boodie’s steady batting performance led the Police to a hard-fought victory.

The tour, which began in late September, ended with ACS being bowled out for a modest total of 122 runs in just 19.2 overs.

The standout performers for ACS were Tevin Imlach, who scored 29 runs, and Aldane Thomas with 23 runs, but they struggled against the impressive bowling display from the Police team.

Dumuka Junior was the standout bowler for the law enforcement unit, claiming four wickets, including a hat-trick that significantly disrupted the ACS batting lineup.

He was supported by Ivor Trotz, who took three wickets for 18 runs, and the experienced Antony Adams, who added two wickets for 16 runs.

Chasing a target of 123 for victory, the Police had to work hard for their runs.

Kevon Boodie played a pivotal role, scoring a composed 37 runs, which guided his team to a narrow two-wicket victory.

He received valuable support from Lennox Andrews with 32 runs and Kanaiya Ramkarran, who contributed 19 runs.

The ACS bowlers, Karan Ganesh, Keon Lake, and Chatram Balgbin, each took two wickets in a collective effort to challenge the Police’s chase.

Despite this loss, the ACS tour had its highlights, as they secured two wins against Bush Lot and Lusignan, finishing the tour with two victories and one defeat.
