Guyana is set to host matches featuring West Indies against Papua New Guinea on June 2 and Uganda on June 8, along with other matches involving Afghanistan and New Zealand, including the first semi-final on June 26.
Minister Ramson conveyed his dissatisfaction with the match allocation and indicated that he has contacted the International Cricket Council (ICC) about the issue.
He raised concerns about the absence of games featuring top sides, which may impact the attractiveness for traveling spectators.
Minister Ramson emphasized the importance of hosting matches involving prominent teams to enhance the overall appeal of the tournament.
Guyana, along with Barbados and Trinidad, is among the seven regional nations selected to host matches.
The Providence National Stadium in Guyana is slated to host five group stage matches and one semi-final.
