October 18, 2024

The second Destination Guyana Now Business and Investment Conference has commenced at the Guyana Marriott, under the theme “Engage, Invest, Collaborate.”

The event, running through Monday, October 21, aims to create opportunities for business collaboration, networking, and investment between local and international partners.

During the opening ceremony, Komal Singh, Chairman of the Private Sector Commission, urged members of the Guyanese diaspora to view Guyana as a prime investment destination.

He emphasized that there has never been a better time to invest in the country, encouraging those abroad to take advantage of the growth opportunities available.

Rosalinda Rasul, Head of the Diaspora Unit at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, acknowledged that Guyana is undergoing rapid growth and transformation but noted that the country is still in its developmental phase.

She reassured potential investors that improvements are underway to enhance systems for better service delivery.

The conference brings together the diaspora community, policymakers, and citizens from around the world to explore promising business ventures in Guyana and build valuable partnerships for future growth.
