The opening contest saw Slingerz dominate from start to finish, ultimately trouncing Buxton United with a commanding 6-0 scoreline.
Goals from Darren Niles and Marcus Tudor set the tone for Slingerz’ dominant performance.
Marcus Tudor, the tournament’s leading goal scorer, showcased his prowess in the first half with goals in the 36th and 39th minutes, giving Slingerz a comfortable lead heading into halftime.
The second half saw Gabriel DeSouza extend Slingerz’ advantage with another goal in the 55th minute.
However, it was Darren Niles who stole the show, netting a brace in the 60th and 83rd minutes to put the game out of reach for Buxton United.
Niles completed his first hat-trick for Slingerz with a goal two minutes into injury time, sealing an imposing 6-0 victory and maintaining their unbeaten streak in the league.

In another fixture, the Guyana Defence Force (GDF) secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Western Tigers.
