Cricket Carnival Regional Food Festival to Kick Off October 2-6

The highly anticipated Cricket Carnival Regional Food Festival is set to commence on Wednesday, October 2, and will run through October 6.

This five-day event will take place along Main Street in Georgetown, offering a vibrant platform for food enthusiasts to explore a variety of delectable dishes.

The festival will showcase culinary delights from various Caribbean nations, alongside Guyana’s unique flavors.

The Ministry of Tourism, Industry, and Commerce has announced that there will be 30 booths at the festival, with craft displays positioned from Church Street to Courts and food vendors located along Middle Street.

In addition to a diverse range of food, the festival promises an exciting atmosphere filled with colorful decorations and lively music.

Attendees will have the opportunity to win prizes throughout the event, with giveaways including dinners for two, trips to Kaieteur, kayaking tours, and food hampers.

The festival will open daily at noon and run until midnight, ensuring ample time for visitors to enjoy the offerings.

Enhanced security measures will be in place, with police patrols monitoring the venue throughout the duration of the festival.

Food lovers are encouraged to attend and experience the culinary richness of the region at this year’s Cricket Carnival Regional Food Festival.
