Courts Optical U11 Boys Schools Football Championship: Round 2 Set to Kick Off at Moe Ground

The Courts Optical U11 Boys Schools Football Championship is gearing up for an exciting second round, with 14 matches scheduled for today at the Ministry of Education ground on CARFESTA Avenue.

Following a thrilling opening round last weekend, 28 teams are ready to hit the field in this round-robin segment of the competition.

Among the highlights, Tapakuma Lake Primary aims to build on their successful start as they face Ann’s Grove, both of whom secured victories in their opening matches.

In another matchup, Batavia Primary will take on West Ruimveldt, while St. Gabriel’s Primary clashes with St. John the Baptist, who will look to extend their winning streak.

Additional matchups include Potaro Primary against Stella Marris, and Belladrum facing last year’s finalists, Redeemer Primary.

Enterprise Primary, fresh off a dominant 10-0 win over FE Pollard, will challenge Rosignol Primary from Berbice, who made their presence felt with a 7-0 victory against Smith Memorial.

The day will also feature Tucville against St. Mary’s, Genesis versus Timehri Primary, and Den Amstel squaring off against Golden Grove.

Colaaco Primary is set to play Marian Academy, while Georgetown International Academy, in their debut season, aims to bounce back from their opening loss against Schools of the Nations.

The final matches of the day include Smith Memorial against FE Pollard, Santa Rosa facing North Georgetown, and defending champions St. Pius meeting Winfer Gardens Primary.

St. Pius showcased their prowess in the opener with an impressive 12-1 victory over St. Mary’s, and they will be eager to maintain their momentum in their title defense.
