The Courts Pee Wee Under-12 football tournament continues to gain momentum, with 14 exciting matches scheduled for Saturday at the Ministry of Education ground on Carifesta Avenue.
After two thrilling rounds of youth football action, this competition features 32 schools from across the country, all vying for the championship title.
The matches will kick off at 11 AM, beginning with One Mile Primary facing off against Leonora, while Santa Rosa will compete against Ann’s Grove simultaneously.
Following these initial matchups, Colaaco will take on Georgetown International Academy, and Marian Academy, a strong contender, will face Schools of the Nations on another pitch.
Additional matches include Batavia squaring off against Den Amstel, with Den Amstel coming off a convincing 5-0 victory over Golden Grove last week.
West Ruimveldt, who drew their previous match, will challenge Golden Grove.
Other anticipated clashes see Genesis competing against St. Gabriel’s and Timerhi taking on St. John the Baptist, who recently achieved a solid 4-1 win against St. Gabriel’s.
Smith’s Memorial will meet former champions Enterprise, while FE Pollard is set to clash with Rosignol.
The formidable Belladrum team, fresh from their 5-0 triumph over 2023 finalists Redeemer, will take on Potaro, and Redeemer will face Stella Marris in their next outing.
Champions St. Pius will go head-to-head with Tucville, and Winfer Gardens will close out the day’s action against St. Mary’s.
Now in its 11th edition, this tournament brings together teams from nine educational districts across the country, promising thrilling youth football action.
The competition will follow a round-robin format leading into knockout stages, with the top 16 schools advancing to compete for a chance at the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and ultimately, the final.
