With less than 100 days remaining until the summer Olympic Games in Paris, France, the French Embassy, in collaboration with the Guyana Olympic Association and UNICEF, inaugurated a public exhibition at the National Library.
Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips attended the exhibition’s official launch, emphasizing the significance of Guyanese athletes representing their country’s ideals on the global stage.
Godfrey Munroe, President of the Olympic Association, expressed delight at participating in the exhibit and emphasized their commitment to sharing the Olympic values with the community.
Chargé d’Affaires for France, Jean-Jacques Forté, underscored the importance of the upcoming Paris games, highlighting the event’s significance in promoting international sportsmanship and unity.
As the countdown to the Paris Olympics continues, the exhibition serves as a platform to engage the public and foster excitement for the upcoming global sporting event.
