Confidence High for West Indies in T20 World Cup

West Indies head coach Daren Sammy is optimistic about his team’s chances in the upcoming ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, slated for June.

Sammy revealed that the team management has already settled on 13 players for the T20 World Cup squad, expressing high morale within the unit.

He emphasized the importance of certain key areas for the team’s success, indicating a strong focus on winning games.

The Windies have been grouped with Afghanistan, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, and Uganda in Group C.

Their journey begins with a match against PNG on June 2 in Guyana, followed by a clash against Uganda on June 8 at Providence.

Subsequent matches include a fixture against New Zealand in Trinidad on June 12 and a final group stage match against Afghanistan at the Daren Sammy Cricket Stadium in St. Lucia on June 17.

With preparations underway and confidence running high, the West Indies team aims to make a strong statement in the upcoming T20 World Cup.
