The senior men’s football team of Guyana has concluded their training sessions in preparation for their upcoming Concacaf Nations League encounter against Puerto Rico.

The match is set to take place on Saturday, October 14, at the St Kitts and Nevis Football Technical Centre.

Sitting in an encouraging second place in League B, Group D, with six points in the Concacaf Nations League standings, the Golden Jaguars express their determination to secure the top position as they face the current leaders, Puerto Rico.

Forward Omari Glasgow, who has been instrumental with four goals in Guyana’s group D matches, exudes confidence in the team’s preparations.

Glasgow, at just 19 years old, is poised to deliver a standout performance on Saturday.

Glasgow’s name joins the ranks of the 23-man squad representing Guyana, alongside players such as Jeremy Garrett, Curtez Kellman, Daniel Wilson, Stephen Duke-McKenna, Deon Moore, and Kelsey Benjamin, among others.

The Golden Jaguars have shown their mettle in the Nations League campaign, clinching victories against Antigua and Barduda, as well as the Bahamas.

On the other side, Puerto Rico, in their debut participation in League B, have displayed remarkable prowess, securing a resounding 6-1 victory over the Bahamas and a commanding 5-0 win against Antigua and Barbuda.

Kick-off is scheduled for 15:00 hours on Saturday.
