“Commit to Get Fit” Programme Launches at Camille’s Academy

Camille’s Academy has launched the “Commit to Get Fit” programme, which brings together athletes from bodybuilding and CrossFit to promote a healthy lifestyle among students and encourage regular physical exercise.

This initiative underscores the importance of maintaining fitness for both physical health and academic success.

The programme, originally launched in 2019, faced a temporary shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic but relaunched on a smaller scale last year.

It has now fully resumed, focusing on exercises commonly covered in physical education (PE) classes and highlighting their benefits.

Fitness instructor and programme organizer, Videsh Sookram, emphasized the importance of physical health for students and its impact on their overall well-being.

This year’s programme includes several new features aimed at engaging students more effectively in their daily activities.

The changes are designed to make a significant difference in students’ routines and help them integrate fitness into their lives.

CrossFit athlete Dillon Mahadeo addressed the students, encouraging them to take advantage of the opportunities presented through the programme.

He emphasized the benefits of balancing physical and academic pursuits, supporting the overall development of the students.

The “Commit to Get Fit” programme will run until June 29, providing a structured approach to integrating fitness into students’ lives.
