In an electrifying showdown at the National Gymnasium, Classic Ball Blasters Volleyball Club showcased their dominance as they swept past Vanguards in the Demerara Volleyball Association’s clubs league.
The encounter was a one-sided affair, with Classic Ball Blasters asserting their authority from the outset.
Led by the dynamic duo of Dua Grant, David Blair, and Darrell Jeebo, they secured a commanding first-set victory, outmaneuvering Vanguards with a scoreline of 25-9.
Despite a spirited effort from Noelex Holder and Shemar Marshall of Vanguards, Classic Ball Blasters continued their onslaught, clinching the second set 25-19 to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the match.
In the third set, Dua Grant once again demonstrated his scoring prowess, amassing a total of 20 points to lead his team to a comfortable 25-18 victory, sealing the match with a resounding 3-0 sets win.
Classic Ball Blasters showcased their dominance with 12 aces and 22 attacks, leaving no doubt about their superiority on the court.
In an earlier fixture, Premier Eagles Volleyball Club asserted their dominance by defeating Venguys Volleyball Club in straight sets, solidifying their position at the top of the league standings.
Led by top performers Trevon McRae, Raenor Sharpe, and Quacy Matheson, Premier Eagles displayed a clinical performance to secure a convincing 3-0 victory.
With Premier Eagles leading the league table, closely followed by Guyana Defense Force and Alphas, the competition promises to intensify in the upcoming matches.
Sponsored by the Demerara Volleyball Association and the National Sport Commission, the league is set to resume from April 8th to 12th at the National Gymnasium, offering fans more thrilling volleyball action.
