Citizen’s Bank Unveils New State-of-the-Art Branch on Mandela Avenue

Citizen’s Bank has officially opened its new state-of-the-art branch located at Mandela Avenue and David Rose Street, marking a significant upgrade in banking facilities for Guyanese customers.

The new 1.8 billion-dollar building will replace the Thirst Park Branch, offering enhanced services and modern amenities.

The grand opening ceremony was attended by President Dr. Irfaan Ali, who commended the bank and its partners for their contributions to the country’s development.

He highlighted the bank’s role in the transformation and growth of the national economy, praising its ongoing commitment to Guyana’s progress.

President Ali emphasized that the new branch symbolizes the bank’s confidence in the nation’s economic prospects and its dedication to supporting national development.

Eton Chester, Managing Director of Citizen’s Bank, shared details about the new facility, which features three floors and a total area of 15,100 square feet.

Chester noted that the modern branch, which began construction in 2020, is designed to be both functional and efficient.

The Mandela Avenue location will offer a comprehensive range of services, including cash transactions, transfers, safe deposits, ATM services, and a drive-through ATM.

A new social zone will also be introduced, providing tutorials and coaching on digital banking services to enhance customer experience.

Chester reaffirmed Citizen’s Bank’s commitment to becoming a leading banking institution in Guyana, underscoring the significance of the new branch in meeting the evolving needs of its customers.
