The Central Islamic Organisation of Guyana (CIOG), in collaboration with Humanity First, the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the US Embassy, hosted a health fair on Sunday at the Mosque in Silvercity, Wismar, Linden.

The initiative marked a return to community outreach after a two-year hiatus and focused on providing essential health and wellness services to residents.

Organizers conducted assessments in advance to identify the specific needs of the community.

The services offered included general medical care, mental health counseling, and other forms of health support.

Special attention was given to assisting migrants in the area, ensuring they had access to necessary healthcare resources.

In addition to medical services, the event featured a clothes distribution initiative to provide further assistance to residents.

The health fair underscored CIOG’s ongoing commitment to improving access to healthcare and supporting vulnerable populations in communities across Guyana.
