Christianburg Primary School Secures Top Spot in Region Ten Inter-Primary School Classroom Competition

…Annual event promotes creativity and child-friendly learning environments

Christianburg Primary School has once again emerged as the winner of the highly anticipated Region Ten Inter-Primary School’s classroom competition.

The school received the coveted champion trophy for the best presentation of learning aids in classrooms, showcasing their commitment to fostering an interactive and child-friendly learning atmosphere.

Regional Education Officer for Region Ten, Omella Rogers, presided over the prize-giving ceremony, commending the initiative’s impact on promoting creativity within classrooms.

The competition, organized by the Department of Education, was established in 2022 with the goal of stimulating creativity among teachers, students, and parents, while also encouraging child-friendly educational spaces.

Classrooms were evaluated based on various criteria, including the arrangement of learning aids.

Saint Aidans Primary secured the second position, followed by Regma Primary in third place.

These schools were also recognized with trophies and educational resources.

Rogers revealed that schools from both coastal and remote areas participated in the competition, with separate assessments conducted for each category.

While 17 schools competed in total, those in the coastal area, specifically in Linden, were judged separately from their remote counterparts. The scores for the remote schools are currently being tallied, creating a dual-tiered competition.

Additionally, through the Office of the Prime Minister, the top-performing schools will receive a cash incentive, further recognizing their dedication to creating conducive learning environments for students.
