The Central Housing and Planning Authority (CH&PA) continues to streamline the process of homeownership, aiming to provide easier access for residents.

Today, the agency conducted an outreach in the Timehri area, offering various essential services including interactions with financial institutions and access to housing subsidies.

Led by Ministers Colin Croal and Kwame McCoy, the outreach focused on empowering residents along the Soesdyke/Linden Highway.

Recently, these residents were granted land leases, marking a significant step towards fulfilling the government’s commitment to housing development.

During the event, residents engaged directly with representatives from commercial banks to discuss financing options and other aspects related to homeownership.

They also utilized the opportunity to apply for subsidies for steel and cement, crucial components in home construction.

Several beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the initiative, highlighting how it will positively impact their lives.

They shared their enthusiasm for the eased financial burden and the opportunity to secure stable housing for their families.

Housing Minister Collin Croal emphasized the government’s dedication to advancing housing initiatives, citing recent land allocations in Swan Village as evidence of progress.

He underscored the importance of empowering residents to build homes they can call their own, fostering a better living environment.

Minister Kwame McCoy, also present at the outreach, reiterated the government’s commitment to improving housing accessibility across Guyana.

His presence underscored the administration’s proactive approach to ensuring every community benefits from developmental efforts.

The event concluded with a sense of optimism among attendees, reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing community infrastructure and promoting homeownership.
