The National Children’s Mashramani Competition concluded today with a vibrant display of creativity and cultural pride as students from across the country took part in the annual costume and float parade.
The event transformed the streets of Georgetown into a colorful spectacle, beginning at the Parade Ground and culminating at the National Park.
This year’s theme, “Expressing Culture and Creativity as One Guyana,” was brought to life by participants from all 11 educational districts, including a new addition—the Hinterland Scholarship Division.
The Ministry of Education expressed satisfaction with the high turnout, noting an increase in participation compared to previous years.
Minister of Education Priya Manickchand joined the parade, engaging with revelers and celebrating the enthusiasm of the young participants.
The Children’s Mashramani Competition remains an integral part of Guyana’s cultural celebrations, fostering national pride and artistic expression among the nation’s youth.
