Guyanese and West Indian women’s all-rounder, Cherry Ann Fraser, is riding high on her performance in the recently concluded GCB T20 tournament and is now setting her sights on a successful regional cricket season.

Fraser expressed her satisfaction with her performance in the GCB T20 tournament, highlighting her achievement of claiming four wickets for nine runs in four overs, including a maiden.

Her stellar performance led the Demerara women’s team to a resounding five-wicket victory against Berbice, securing the GCB T20 title.

Moreover, Fraser has been appointed as the vice-captain for the Guyanese Women’s team, gearing up to compete in the Cricket West Indies 50-overs and T20 tournaments.

She emphasized the importance of more women’s cricket being played, stressing the need for increased training, competition, and a wider pool of talented players.

Looking ahead to the upcoming women’s regional tournament commencing on March 2, Fraser remains hopeful that her current form will translate into success for both herself and the Guyanese team.

Her optimism and dedication underscore her commitment to the sport and her aspirations for its continued growth and development, particularly among female players aspiring to reach the West Indies level.
