In an action-packed day at the Ministry of Education ground on Sunday, the semi-finalists for the Milo School Football Tournament were determined.
Chase Academy, President’s College, Waramuri Primary, and Dolphin Secondary emerged victorious, booking their places in the next stage of the competition.
In the opening match, Chase Academy showcased their dominance with a commanding 5-0 win over Bartica Secondary.
Neea Baksh and Omar Sam found the back of the net early in the 20th and 21st minutes, giving Chase Academy a comfortable lead.
Bryan Glasgow extended their advantage with a goal in the 40th minute, securing a three-goal lead at halftime.
Mark Glasgow and Isaiah Ifill added two more goals in the 69th and 70th minutes, sealing the victory for Chase Academy.
Waramuri Primary Top secured their semi-final berth with a convincing 3-0 win over Ann’s Grove Secondary.
Rondell Peters, Chetram Thomas, and Odell Holmes were the goal scorers for Waramuri, netting goals in the 27th, 34th, and 62nd minutes respectively.
In another exciting matchup, President’s College defeated East Ruimveldt 3-1, thanks to goals from Lyshown Morriah, Shamar Barrington, and Daniel Alexander.
The final spot in the semi-finals was clinched by Dolphin Secondary, who narrowly defeated West Ruimveldt with a solitary goal from Ezekiel David.
Semi-final action is set to commence on Thursday at the Ministry of Education ground.
Chase Academy will face President’s College in the first match at 16:30, while Waramuri Primary Top will take on Dolphin Secondary in the second match at 18:30.
With the stage set for intense competition, football enthusiasts can expect thrilling matches as the teams battle it out for a spot in the final.
